OCM Consulting is expanding, and we are seeking talented Quantity Surveyors at Assistant, Intermediate, and Senior level to join our dynamic team. This is a rare opportunity to gain exposure working with a diverse range of Civil Engineering Contractors and contribute to a variety of projects.

At OCM Consulting, we provide a range of Quantity Surveying services to a growing portfolio of Civil Engineering Contractors. You’ll collaborate on projects of varying scale and complexity, contributing to a team and managing the commercial aspects throughout. The Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in overseeing the commercial function of projects and will report directly to the Lead Quantity Surveyor.

 

Responsibilities (role-dependent)

Site measurement, including take-off, valuations, and cost analysis.

Change management and programme adjustments.

Applications for payment and final account settlements.

Dispute resolution.

Material quantifying and scheduling.

Attending progress and account meetings.

Managing contractor supply chain documentation requirements.

Requirements

Assistant / Intermediate / Senior Quantity Surveyors considered.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within Civil Engineering in the UK.

Working knowledge of contract forms, including NEC3/4.

Qualified to at least HNC standard and CSCS Card required.

Ability to take initiative and adapt to challenges.

Available to work from site 2–3 days a week; driver’s license required.

Self-motivated with strong teamwork skills.

Ability to work to deadlines.
